located in the southwestern area of Montana.
24 miles Southwest of Dillon MT.
I-15 to exit 59, Highway 278 to Bannack Bench Road, then south four miles.

The Visitor Center is open seven days a week. Summer Hours 10:00am to 6:00pm.

Gold Panning at Bannack State Park takes place weekends in the summer season,
3:00PM to 4:30PM and only in the water tubs provided at the park.
Panning is not permitted elsewhere in Bannack State Park.
The "pay dirt" comes from the river basin on Grasshopper Creek. Dirt, water, shovel, screens, and pans are all provided from the park and you get to keep the Gold you find.

$5.00/Vehicle
Bicyclists or Walk-ins: $1.00/person
Commercial/Bus Passengers: $2.00/Person

Bannack has two campgrounds. First-come, first-served basis.

Regular Summer Season: $12.00 per night, per camp unit.
Montana Senior Citizens and Montana Disabled: $6.00 per night, per camp unit.
Off-Season Camping (October 1 - April 30): $10.00 per night, per camp unit.
